It’s a devastating statistic.
WWF-Australia’s latest report reveals that 517,956 hectares has been cleared in the past 17 years in NSW.
But since the Native Vegetation Act was repealed in 2017, tree-clearing has nearly tripled in parts of the state.
When habitat is destroyed, wildlife dies.
